I would like to just take this opportunity to apologise for my lack of posting .

It has been a busy month with kids and school holiday, moving house and new orders

Kids start back at school next week so hopefully I will fall back into something that resembles a routine.

I thought I might just today share some photos of whats been going on with us over the holidays

Happy New Year

Happy New year  to you and your loved ones 

I am looking forward to a great year in 2013 I am feeling very optimistic after a very hard yet busy 2012 

Some new and exciting things happening for Ruby Victoria Letterpress I will keep you all posted as it is happening  but I have to say my moto for this year is slow and steady wins the race,

 instead of my usual run and hope for the best lol

 Met a wonderful man about a month ago at a local market named Max, we got talking and he told me he had been a stationery rep all his working life and said he had an Adana press just like mine, we got talking about all the people we knew in common in the printing industry and the like and he invited me over to have a look at what he had, so of course I said yes and this is what I found  hope you enjoy the photos :)

 It is official Ruby Victoria letterpress will be available in Paris as of  2 weeks from now !

 

 "La Galerie Végétale" in Paris near the Canal Saint Martin, has made their first order from me to be part of their Scandinavian themed Christmas

I am very proud to have my work stocked in this beautiful gallery where they have superbly  mixed plants with objects inspired by nature to create a fresh inviting space .

Tasmania by Hand

'Tasmania By Hand' is a new project bringing a fresh and stylish selection of talented Tasmanian artists and makers to the rest of Australia. Each market we attend will have different featured artists/makers from a variety of mediums from all over Tasmania.
I am thrilled to announce that Ruby Victoria letterpress has been selected to be one of the lucky Tasmania Makers to be represented at the December Finders Keepers in  Sydney at The Carriage works just in time for Christmas YAY
I would like to say a big thank you to Maya and Sam of Hideyo Designs for being the ones organised enough to come up with this concept and to see it through :) you guys Rock!

Boutique markets debut in Launceston

It's been a very busy couple of weeks here getting ready for another spurt on markets coming into the Christmas seasons, I have been enjoying to my surprise some screen printing for the first time in a very long time and will have some of the bags I have been printing and they will be for sale for the first time this weekend .

Screen printing at Ruby Victoria

Screenprinted wedding commemorative teatowels for a lovely couple from Qld who are getting married this weekend here in Tasmania.

Not really known for my screen printing abilities 

I have been getting quite a few requests for screen printed calico bags and  tea towels with my linocut images printed on them and of course the easiest way for me to do this is to paint them onto a silk screen and print them this way .

 

 

 I will post some more photos of the end products once they have been printed and list in my online shops :)

Scottish garden wedding

I buckled and agreed to prints some wedding stationery

I have to admit it was fun working with Cate on this project I might be able to be talked into do some  more wedding stationery at some point.

Ruby Victoria are off to Finders Keepers again in the form of a box of goodies

Boutique Markets Hobart

Seems like the only time I get to write on my blog at the moment is when I am about to head off to another market and this occasion is no different. 

Ruby and I are heading back down to Hobart this weekend to have a stall at The Boutique Market at The Old Woolstore in Macquarie Street, Hobart 

Doors open at 9am and will be open till 1pm

Please come along there is going to be a great reange of stall holder the likes of Dick and Dora, Marley & Lockyer,  lil'luscious cupcakes, 2pm at the button factor,  Kids stylefile, AdoreU and Beetee's oh yeah and me ! to name just a few. 

Please come along and support your local artists crafters and makers.

having trouble finding something special for mum this mothers day why not come along to the market this weekend for you last minute shopping especially of you are looking for something a little bit special and different 

This will me my first market in Wynyard so I am really looking forward to meeting Michelle the organiser of this cute little market
