Welcome to Ruby Victoria Letterpress & printmaking

Here you will find photos of all my original hand carved linocut prints and letterpress printing.
A commercial printer by trade a printmaker by choice.
I specialize in original handcarved lino block prints with a bit of letterpress thrown in for good measure.
All printed on antique printing machines with that unmistakable bite into the paper that you can only get with letterpress printing

The work that I do is not created on a computer everything is hand drawn then hand carved out of lino then printed one impression at a time on my tabletop letterpress machine

I do not use polymer which limits me somewhat in regards to type but I love to use traditional methods in my printing that involve handset type and hand carved designs and I think this is what make my work totally Original and Unique to what other people are doing right now and it also meaning everything I make is an original work of art
I love what I do and love to share it with others that are interested

Today in the Badalassi household

What a surprise I am printing again!
geez I need to get a life

Get a load of the lovely drying racks I borrowed from a secret location
that I cannot disclose, I will buy a set of these soon when I become a bit more cashed up
as these are not cheap damn it !

The next photo is for all you art/craft people that don't have a pristine white, tidy, lick the floor clean work area . Don't get me wrong I would love a space like that but in reality I would never be able to maintain that sort of order . I really must say that this is pretty bad for me, I don't usually have stuff all over the floor just all over the table hehe

  1. haha...That's not so bad, Im treading on things:)

  2. that's only a small section of the room ! lol

  3. It was nice to meet you the other day. I wanted to visit your stall, but it was a bit tricky getting away, I'll have some company in a couple of weeks so I should be able to go for a wander more easily:)

  4. that will be wonderful I will let you know what stall and where ok just as soon as I know.
I will be at the Market at the masonic Hall next weekend if your interested in having a look then

  5. Narelle, that's just creative clutter. As long as you can fidn what you need it's okay. I have to admit I'm at the other extreme (neat freak), to be creative I have to start with a clean and tidy work area. Mind you, it doesn't always stay that way - LOL
    Hugs ~ Kerryanne

  6. Never mind about your 'creative' mess Narelle.... you should see my spare room! Soap, candles and other minutae from one end to the other!

Please leave a message and say hello
It would make me feel ever so happy :)
