Welcome to Ruby Victoria Letterpress & printmaking
Here you will find photos of all my original hand carved linocut prints and letterpress printing.
A commercial printer by trade a printmaker by choice.
I specialize in original handcarved lino block prints with a bit of letterpress thrown in for good measure.
All printed on antique printing machines with that unmistakable bite into the paper that you can only get with letterpress printing
The work that I do is not created on a computer everything is hand drawn then hand carved out of lino then printed one impression at a time on my tabletop letterpress machine
I do not use polymer which limits me somewhat in regards to type but I love to use traditional methods in my printing that involve handset type and hand carved designs and I think this is what make my work totally Original and Unique to what other people are doing right now and it also meaning everything I make is an original work of art
I love what I do and love to share it with others that are interested

Yay for getting on the Give Away Band Wagon!!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest with you, I am in love with this print.
You already know this though... I oohed and ahhed over your teapot prints at one of the Homespun markets, where I actually properly met you!
If I ever cross paths with you again, which I am sure is bound to happen, I am going to purchase the Black teapot - and get a cute, simple black frame for it and pop it in my mother's kitchen, above the red bird vinyl stickers, near the kitchen wall clock... because, we always look at the clock and say: "It's Wine Time." And although, I love wine... I also love tea... and would love it if mother bear and I got in the habit of saying: "oh look, it's TEA TIME!"
Yay for Sophie for being the first teapot lover to enter my give away !!
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely cross paths again possibly at the Civic homespun Market, I am thinking of dropping in there this weekend coming !
So hope to see you there!
Yay! A give away. I'd like the black teapot: a friend for my blue one. They would live next to each other so they they always have someone to share a cuppa with!
ReplyDeleteI love the black teapot. It would sit in a simple black frame on the top of my fireplace, which acts as a mantle. Don't worry we don't use the fireplace, there is no chance of this beautiful piece being destroyed.
ReplyDeleteI love the cute little blue teapot :)
ReplyDeleteI would put it above my desk, where I have a considerable collection of teacups (I have a cup of tea every 2 minutes when I'm working!).
What a Gorgeous blog give away :)
ReplyDeleteMy fav one would be the black japanese teapot, I love it :) and I would place it on my kitchen wall next to my favourite window.
Oh - I love the little blue teapot but would have nowhere for it to live so would have to go with the little black teapot which I would frame in a silver frame and hang in my kitchen!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo, i love give aways :)
ReplyDeletethe black one deinitely, would look great on the small empty wall that i can see from my kitchen, so i can look at it in the mornings while sitting on the kitchen bench sipping on my cuppa
x isis
I would love the black one. I would put in a bight colour frame and I think it would live in my kitchen.

ReplyDeleteAnd I would probably put it in my workroom.
Hi Narelle, thanks for joining my blog :) my giveaway is still going until 6pm tonight if you'd like to enter. I like your black teapot I'd frame it in a beautiful simple frame and hang it on my lovely mauve bedroom walls. Which I'll have on my blog soon (my bedroom that is) I'm joining the eye spy blog posts with Percival Road and Miss Muggins.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm being very naughty and typing with black lino ink on my fingers..I think the black teapot would be great for me as then it wouldn't show up my dirty finger prints!
ReplyDeleteI love the teapot prints and I love the Xmas tags too.
lol that is so funny Grace I am typing with black in on my fingers too, I have been editioning new prints this morning that I have been putting off
ReplyDeleteHooray for teapots! These are splendid!
ReplyDeleteTough choice but I think I would have to go with the black print. I would put it in the kitchen next to our breakfast table so I could admire it whilst sipping my tea of a morning.

hi narelle! thanks for joining my blog and for having a giveaway! i LOVE the blue teapot! i have one that looks very similar, so if i was to win it, it would most certainly sit with my teapots on a special shelf in my kitchen.
ReplyDelete(hhmmmm....note to self.. this tea/teapot obsession is getting out of control!!)
I love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the blue teapot because it would match my kitchen perfectly.
So, I would pop it in a frame & hang it next to the kitchen table, where I drink my tea!
OOh lovely teapots - the blue one would look perfect on the empty wall I have in the kitchen. Love the chrissy tags too.
ReplyDeleteYay another entrant, this is so much fun! I am going to have to spend a day or two looking all your blogs up !!
ReplyDeleteI quite like the black Japanese one, but I would choose whichever one has the deepest impression. I love letterpress, because of the tactile-ness of what's essentially a flat image - it's magic! :D
ReplyDeleteThe blue teapot is gorgeous, the perfect shade of blue. I'd love it in my kitchen/dining room. It's alot like my own teapot actually, minus the chips!
ReplyDeleteYes please count me in, I love the blue tea pot, It would look lovely in my kitchen!

How can I resist a teapot print giveaway?? If I win it it will either live on a shelf in my kitchen where some of my non-functional teawares also live, or on the wall of the home office with some other tea-related prints and things that I need to get around to framing and putting up (incentive!!) :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and I meant to say that I prefer the blue one! Such a delicate pattern on it! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting a giveaway! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the blue teapot. I like the gentle color. The cross-hatch marks in the shadow and excitement to the cuts. I really enjoy ALL you work. Thanks again!

Those teapots are gorgeous! If only I could get real teapots which look like that. I think I like the blue one a little bit more than the black one...more delicate maybe. Thanks for the fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy fav is the black one. I think a very modern timber frame and I would put it on the wall above my kitchen booth.

I love the little blue one, however if I won, I would choose the little black one : )Why? Because it would be for my sister - who loves groovy little teapots and this one is just her style and wouldn't a print just set off her little collection beautifully. Where would it live, I reckon in the little cabinet where her pots are displayed.
