Welcome to Ruby Victoria Letterpress & printmaking

Here you will find photos of all my original hand carved linocut prints and letterpress printing.
A commercial printer by trade a printmaker by choice.
I specialize in original handcarved lino block prints with a bit of letterpress thrown in for good measure.
All printed on antique printing machines with that unmistakable bite into the paper that you can only get with letterpress printing

The work that I do is not created on a computer everything is hand drawn then hand carved out of lino then printed one impression at a time on my tabletop letterpress machine

I do not use polymer which limits me somewhat in regards to type but I love to use traditional methods in my printing that involve handset type and hand carved designs and I think this is what make my work totally Original and Unique to what other people are doing right now and it also meaning everything I make is an original work of art
I love what I do and love to share it with others that are interested

Just call me the TAG lady

when I started this whole letterpress printing gig I never really thought I would spend so much time making tags, don't get me wrong! I love making tags and deep down I was hoping my tags would take off as they are super fun to make, but I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I would end up making so many.
It has been interesting seeing what people ask for on custom tags , Love & Clutter in Hobart have asked for some really fun but simple tags for Christmas this year and The Vintage Rose in Launceston have asked for merry Christmas in French in a typewriter font so I can't wait to see how those turns out I will post some photos once they are printed.

  3. I never thought I'd be making dolls!
I love these tags and was in L&C 2 weeks ago asking about your Xmas tags but none where there yet. But I might be there next week.

I'm a bit nervous about the market gig, hoping I'll have enough to fill the 2m table!
I'm having a great time making things though!

  4. Your tags are beautiful, I'm hanging out until I see you at the next market to get some. They will be perfect with my brown paper I use for christmas wrapping. Its a mad time the year getting ready for markets!
